The Prominent and Solano work in the same way – both slide open to insert a Core, feature a magnetic closure, and have adjustable airflow.

The difference is purely style. The Prominent comes with a plain stainless steel mouthpiece and a Maple Barrel, while the Solano has an Onyx Black coated mouthpiece (titanium coating with a stainless steel center) and a Walnut Barrel.
