How is Sales Tax Calculate on My Order?Updated 10 months ago
In most cases, sales tax is calculated based on the destination the products are shipping to, rather than their origin.
When you are in the process of checking out, taxes are listed as "Estimated tax" and the final tax and total will be confirmed by email or text after you place your order.

If the tax on an order is overestimated, which means that the final tax amount is lower than the estimated tax amount that is provided during checkout, then only the final amount will be captured on your credit card. Remaining funds that have been authorized by you during checkout will be released.
If the tax on an order is underestimated, which means that the final tax amount is higher than the estimated tax amount that is provided during checkout, then the authorization on your credit card will be voided, and a new authorization will be created for the final amount. If your payment method doesn't have the necessary funds for the new authorization amount, then an email notification will be sent to you indicating that your payment has failed, and will prompt you to complete your purchase.
