Are Polyester Cores Safe?Updated 12 days ago
Though not all polyester is safe for use in this way, when used as directed (i.e. using a Core only once for a period of 3-4 days, and not reapplying any type of flavoring to a used Core), the medical grade polyester used does not deteriorate when saturated.
We have spent a considerable amount of time researching organic cotton alternatives but they are neither sustainable or safe. Cotton, when saturated over time can lose its integrity and begin flaking resulting in the breathing in of the cotton itself (not fun). Additionally, most suppliers of organic cotton bleach it which is also very unsafe.
